A Cephalometric Evaluation and Comparison of Skeletal, Dentoalveolar, and Soft Tissue Changes Brought about by the Forsus Fatigue Resistant Device and PowerScope Fixed Functional Appliance

Background: Though studies have been conducted on the PowerScope, not many researches are available in literature which compare its effects with other fixed functional appliances. Therefore, aim of our study was cephalometric evaluation and comparison skeletal, dentoalveolar, soft tissue changes brought about by Forsus Fatigue Resistant Device PowerScope appliance. Materials Methods: Pre Posttreatment records 20 patients Class II Division 1 malocclusion treated appliances (Forsus PowerScope) were compared. Values various parameters used to evaluate dental, changes. Wilcoxon signed-rank test (intragroup comparison) Mann–Whitney U (intergroup) see significant differences ( P ≤ .05). Conclusion: From study, we concluded that equally good options for correction skeletal due a retrognathic mandible, as achieve all three aspects: dentoalveolar tissue.
